Dear clients, due to the state of alarm in which we find ourselves, the government approves almost daily measures and regulations to try to give social and economic coverage to the different groups, our commitment is to inform you of the new developments in the labour and fiscal field that are taking place these days, which may suffer modifications in a short period of time.
In accordance with the royal decree declaring the State of Alarm caused by the COVID -19 pandemic, Tejada Solicitors considers necessary to adopt a series of temporary and extraordinary contention and prevention measures, with the only objective of preventing and impeding the contagion. Therefore, we have decided that from the 13th of March to the 20th, our work will be carried out through the TELEWORK ( from home ) system. These measures are taken for civic responsibility and protection of both our staff and our customers’ health. Let’s remember the motto: ” STAY AT HOME “-
To attend and cover our clients in all areas of fiscal, legal and labour advice, and within the exceptional circumstances around us, the staff of Tejada Solicitors will be available via TELEWORK in our regular hours, from 09:00 to 17:30.
For our clients´peace of mind and knowledge, the government has approved, among others, the following measures:
1.-The Spanish Tax Agency has just published on the website www.aeat.com that the deadlines for filing tax returns, such as Form 720, Model 210, Model 211 , Model 303 VAT, will not be interrupted, therefore, the deadlines in the tax returns will not be modified.
You can check the following links:
2.- The decree will allow from its entry into force till the 30th of May, to request the treasury to defer up to 30.000 euros for six months.
“The deferment of the income of the tax debt corresponding to all declarations and self-liquidations wich filling and entry period ends from the date of entry into force of this royal decree-law and until May 30th-2020, both inclusive”
The law will allow deferral of payments in concepts considered non-deferrable until now, such as withholding.slates of the IRPF, contributions passed on V.A.T. and the split payment of corporation tax.
From our point of view, we are surprised that the suspension of deadlines regarding the presentation of tax returns and self-assessments, among others not mentioned here, has been left out of the scope of application of the Royal Decree where the state of alarm is declared, as well as the total absence of a tax reduction especially for the business sector, which we believe is necessary at this time.
With respect to the social protection measures against Coronavirus, from now on we will detail the ones we consider the most important:
COMPANIES DURING THIS TIME WILL NOT PAY SOCIAL SECURITY CONTRIBUTIONS WITH THE AIM OF NOT LAYING OFF WORKERS.
MORATORIUM ON MORTGAGE PAYMENTS TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE REDUCED THEIR INCOME OR ARE UNEMPLOYED BECAUSE OF THE CORONAVIRUS.
3.-OR SELF-EMPLOYED WORKERS
EXTRAORDINARY BENEFIT FOR ACTIVITY STOPPAGE FOR SELF-EMPLOYED PERSONS WHOSE ACTIVITIES HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED OR WHOSE TURNOVER HAS FALLEN BY MORE THAN 75% IN RELATION TO THE AVERAGE FOR THE PREVIOUS SIX-MONTH PERIOD.
THIS MEASURE WILL BE VALID FOR ONE MONTH.
4 .- FOR THOSE WHO NEED IT MOST.
300 million euros to strengthen social services and care for the elderly, homeless, and in homes for the elderly and dependents.
